Summer may still seem
like a long way off, but it’s time to sign-up for summer camps!
This year our missions camp will be open to all youth (students finishing
grades 6-12) as we return to PASSWays Camp on June 22-27 at Wingate
University in Wingate, NC. The cost of PASSWays is $335, which includes
the camp and transportation. A $75.00 non-refundable deposit is required
by Sunday, January 27 to reserve a spot. PASSWays offers tracks centered
around daily mission projects, Christianity & the Arts, Christian care of
creation, exploring vocational call to ministry, and living in a
cross-cultural world, as well as new options on self-image and recreation
as re-creation.
We will also be returning to Crosspoint camp July 14-18 at Carson-Newman
College in Jefferson City, TN. This camp is open to children and youth
having finished grades 4-8. The cost is $255 and a $50 non-refundable
deposit is required by Sunday, January 27 as well.
An additional
non-refundable deposit of $50.00 will be due for both camps by Sunday,
March 30 with the final balance due 3 weeks prior to each camp.
Additional reservations after January 27 will be available only as space
is available with each camp and our transportation. Full or partial
scholarship is available for either camp- please contact Chris Cash for
more details or any other camp-related questions. Informational brochures
are available outside the church office. More details regarding our
Summer Mission Trip for high schoolers will be announced in early
February.

- We gather each Sunday
morning at 9:30 a.m. for a time of Bible study together. We begin in
the café area with a breakfast snack usually available, along with a
time of announcements and prayer. We then head to our classes- our
Middle School class is led by Dee Dee Burch and Mike Devine; our High
School class is led by Rick Hundley, Lee McClure, and Bob Wagner.

- Just as an oasis is a
place of rest and refreshment in the midst of a desert, “Oasis” on
Wednesday nights is a time to reflect, worship, and be refreshed as we
seek to be God’s people throughout the week. “Oasis” begins at 5:45
with announcements, a game or occasional prayer experience, and a time
of introducing our lesson for the night. Following our opening time,
we meet in small groups for discussing the night’s theme and scriptures,
sharing, and praying together. Small group discussions are more topical
and vary from week to week. Oasis concludes at 7:00 p.m. Our small
group leaders are: Middle School Guys- Keith Potter, Middle School
Girls- Tammy Potter, High School Guys- Chris Cash, High School Girls-
Mary Ann Waltman.
