We offer and support a variety of recreational opportunities throughout the year at Immanuel.  December-February is basketball season and we host the  Right Way Basketball League, which is coordinated by Jan Godwin, physical education teacher at Clark Elementary School.  This league is for children pre-kindergarten through 6^th grade and emphasizes teaching fundamentals of basketball and team play.  Clinics are offered in November and December and the Right Way League plays on Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays in January and February.  Over 350 children participate in Right Way Basketball. 

 

We also open a time of “Immanuel Members & Friends Basketball” every Tuesday evening in the late fall and winter for any adults college age and older to come to the CLC for basketball.  Men’s softball and flag football teams have also been an opportunity to get to know each other better as we play together.  We have a weight room with exercise bike, treadmill, and weight bench that is open to adult members during church office hours or at other times when the CLC is open. 

 

The church also sponsors different socials and events as well.  Past and possible future events also include church picnics in June & October, trips to sporting events, bicycling, whitewater rafting and camping trips as well.  The Special Events Committee sponsors the annual Immanuel Bazaar on the first Saturday in November.  The Bazaar features craft and other items the group creates throughout the year, as well as a luncheon.  Proceeds from the Bazaar benefit various Immanuel ministries and programs.
