The life of Immanuel Baptist Church must be
sustained by the faithful prayers of its members. Through several
disciplines, we seek to nurture this life of prayer individually and
collectively.
Intercessory Prayer Ministry:
Members of Immanuel commit to pray on behalf of others for
one hour a week in the prayer room or in their homes. Prayer concerns are
shared by the congregation through various means. All prayer concerns
expressed by our members to the Intercessory Prayer Ministry remain
confidential and are not shared with others.
A Time for Prayer:
Each Friday at 12:10 pm members and friends of Immanuel
gather in the Commons Room for a time of directed prayer. This service of
prayer lasts approximately 30 minutes. People are encouraged to come
during their lunch hour. Contact person: Jamie Broome.
Prayers for Sunday:
Each Sunday morning at 8:30 - 9:00 AM members of our
congregation gather in our sanctuary to pray for our church as we prepare
for Bible study and worship. A prayer guide is provided to assist in
focusing our prayers. This is a time to individually prepare oneself for
worship and to pray for our entire congregation that we might be
responsive to the inspiration and leadership of the Holy Spirit in the
services of the day. Contact person: Jamie Broome.
